Screenshot to Text Converter
Extract text from screenshots — up to 500 at once, no uploads.
Best for copying text from UI screenshots, error messages, chat logs, and software menus.
▸▾Tuned for clear, sharp screenshots
Accuracy drops on blurry captures, very small text (<12px), and low-contrast colours. A sharper source image fixes this faster than any setting.

No. OCR runs entirely in your browser using Tesseract.js and WebAssembly. Nothing is sent to any server.
Clear UI screenshots — error messages, Slack or Discord posts, settings screens, article text. Anything you can read comfortably on screen will extract cleanly.
Yes. Dark backgrounds are detected and inverted before recognition runs, so light text on dark reads the same as dark text on light.
Text smaller than about 12px (tiny tooltip labels, status-bar text), light-grey placeholder text on near-white backgrounds, and monospace code with visually similar characters (0/O, 1/l/I). Most standard UI screenshots will have little or nothing to fix.
Multi-column layouts work in most cases but dense layouts can sometimes merge adjacent columns. Crop to a single column first if that happens. UI chrome (menus, toolbars, sidebars) around the text you want can also add noise — cropping tightly helps.
